Karma and Medusa’s Lair creates an atmosphere that’s very different than at run-of-the-mill salons. Free thinking and freedom of expression seems to be the chant here. The space itself actually holds two different shops: Karma, on one side of the floor, is a holistic care center that has many natural products and services, and on the other side is Medusa’s Lair, an organic salon and spa. The combination of these two ideas was created when the owners came together and decided to join forces to create a shop that offered a little something more than other spas around Auburn. Karma puts on workshops, offers chakra balancing, reiki therapy and sells items like aromatherapy products, organic candles and soaps, incense and tapestries. I promise you, there is nothing typical about this place…
Many of Medusa’s Lair clients boast dramatic hair style and colors
Henna tattooing- for the ones not brave enough to go permanent
Dancing to the beat of a different drum
I didn’t know the joke, but their laughter was infectious
Jam sessions during the grand opening
Karma sells and offers more than normal products at a salon, such as hula hoops
Rock what you love
Hula hoopers welcome
